The Synoptiscope, specially designed for diagnosis and treatment of binocular vision(strabismus amblyopia), provides various examinations and corrections based on the three elements:
- Binocular coincident
- Fusion
- Stereoscopic vision
Head angle of elevation and depression has been widened from 20° of previous model (L-2510) to 30° .
Angle of slide rotation has been widened from 15° of previous model (L-251 O) to 20°.
Automatic flashing device allows adjustment of the flashing rate over a range of 30 to 150 times per minute. Manual flash can be operated by use of a push button on control panel.

Far adjustment of viewing field, nan-step adjustable aperture diaphragm is attached.

SYNOPTISCOPE has sixteen pairs of multi-coloured slides with various figures and a pair of slide far after image examination as the standard accessory.
Eye pieces with half-mirrors built-in allow examiners to observe the patient's corneas and projected slide figures simultaneously during examination or treatment.
